My Jiary

I've decided to use my blog as half journal, half diary; thus jiary...

Last night, I found myself unexpectedly setting the table for nine! I enjoy having people over. Yesterday, a mom of one of Kendra's friends called and asked if her daughter could spend the weekend. We haven't seen Kelly for a while, so it has been good to get reaquainted. Supper didn't begin too well, though. I served soup. If you know Kelly, you would understand why this wasn't good. Kelly has CP (Cerebral Palsy). Awareness is not one of my strengths. We got through it, but No More Soup this Weekend! We also had two of my neighbor kids for supper, as well. Brooke and Shane are good friends of the family. Their brother was at his first communion rehearsal.

Kendra and Kelly are at our church attending a meeting on evangelism. I hope they will feel good about what they learn ... and that it is practical.

Chris, Mariah and Stephen are outside playing. They stream is really running, so Camp Fun and Camp Passamoquoddy are in full swing. Truthfully, though, these "camps" can be seen from the road and I am afraid they do junk up the neighborhood a bit. I tell myself 1)It is a season 2)They are having fun, healthy play. That is sufficient to keep the camps where they are.

Today it is rainy and overcast. It will be a good opportunity to plan for co-op Mon., paint a little, plan some for Kendra's upcoming recital; and hopefully get some of those jobs done that I have an easy time putting off.

Tonight, Rick and I will be going to Margarita's with Rick's boss and wife, then to a comedy show. Something about Larry the Cable Guy. Tickets are about $50 apiece, so I thing it could be funny.

I think this is it for today's blog. Rick is trying to re-attach some legs on Mariah's rabbit cage. As many know, we are not "handy" people. He's asked me to come outside....
My theory is that there are people who can fix and make about anything, then there is the other group who hire those people to fix or make anything. God may have intended us to be those other people.
